Hi, I'm Rebecca. A fully qualified interior architect and interior designer with a Ba(Hons) in Interior Architecture and Design. I studied at Leeds College of Art and Design and since then have over 10 years of experience working in interior design and project management. During this time I have built relationships with trusted and highly skilled craftspeople to deliver stunning results.
I pride myself on my client relationship. I always put my clients first with any design, with regular progress reports and detailed invoicing, to ensure every design project meets the clients brief, is delivered on time, within budget, and the client is completely happy.
You really will not be disappointed with what I can achieve with your home or business.
Rebecca worked with us over the course of eighteen months or so, producing completely new designs for three bedrooms, an update for a fourth and finding the perfect stair carpet to go with an existing scheme. (We had been without stair carpet for two years because I couldn’t find what I wanted!)
After living in the same large Victorian house for fifteen years, it was time for a refresh and we had reached a stalemate, where I no longer really knew what I wanted. I had fallen out of love with the house, a sad state of affairs! I approached a couple of other designers, but needed someone who would listen, not impose, but also with a strong enough character and confidence to make suggestions and gently nudge us towards making decisions. Rebecca worked tirelessly and always with good humour to meet the (sometimes differing) wishes of myself and my husband, often listening to rather vague notions of what we did and didn’t like and coming up with a solution. Part designer, part marriage guidance counsellor!
Rebecca has a really fine tuned eye for detail and it was that which made all the difference. Simple things like changing the handles on an existing set of drawers, or echoing existing architectural features in the house, suddenly brought a scheme together. Things I never would have thought of. She had such strong antennae for what would work, always provided a break down of costings and gave us a range of options so we could make an informed choice.
Her communication skills are excellent. She kept in constant contact with us throughout the projects, would always follow up phone calls and emails extremely promptly, would be on site to check workmen turned up and knew what they were doing and would return after each job was completed to check we were happy and sign it off. “Going the extra mile” is such a cliche, but it is true of her. We came to trust her judgement implicitly - everything about her work says quality. This, most importantly, was equally true of her contacts - what is the point of spending a lot of money on interior design if the implementation falls short. It never did.
There is of course also a personal relationship as well as a professional one in play. It is important not only to respect and trust your designer and their aesthetic (which we clearly did) but also to value their qualities as a person. Rebecca was always warm, friendly, entirely reliable and hugely patient and most importantly, has a sense of humour.
I cannot recommend her highly enough.
